These Franklin Falls engagement photos were unbelievable! Alyssa and Dawson were such an amazing couple to go on an early-morning adventure with. They are the kind of people who inspire you with their connection; natural, easy-going, and completely present in the moment. It was like the two of them had already spent an entire lifetime together. I really can’t make this up. You’ll see in the photos how perfect the two are for each other and the connection and good energy just oozing from them!
Franklin Falls
Franklin Falls is a beautiful waterfall on the south fork of the Snoqualmie River in Washington. It’s a great, short hike for such a stunning view at the end. It also tends to be very popular when the weather is good. We decided to photograph at sunrise to avoid a large crowd. It was absolutely worth it! On our hike out through the beautiful fog, we even had a chance to see a few deer venturing around in the early morning.
About the Couple
Alyssa and Dawson traveled from about three hours away. When I told them about Franklin Falls for their engagement photos they totally trusted in me to have a good time and explore. One of my favorite things about being an elopement photographer is connecting with couples who allow suggestions on where to go and make magic. There are so many beautiful places throughout the Pacific Northwest, like Franklin Falls, to elope or have engagement photos done.
These two were total champs, because like I mentioned earlier, the waterfall was a powerhouse. While we were shooting we were fighting getting soaked. You can’t even tell in the photos, the two of them smiled through the whole thing and still came out looking perfect. I mean, just look at Alyssa’s hair - it survived a freaking waterfall and she still looks like a model? How?
After taking photos at the waterfall we adventured around in the forest a little bit longer, and started our hike back. Like I’ve mentioned a million times (but I won’t stop), I had an amazing time with these two. They are so happy together, connected and in love. Shoutout to these two lovebirds for the best morning ever.
